When I was a little girl my mother used to love to take pictures of storm clouds. Coming from a small town known for having tornadoes, and me only about 5, I was deathly afraid to go searching for clouds of any kind. My mother would always reassure me that everything was ok and still take my sister and I out for pictures. Even through all the fear the one thing that has stuck with me was my mothers voice and her saying to me "These are the moments we should capture. These pictures are God's gift to us. Something we can't buy with any amount of money." That is where the name Moments Captured Photography comes from. To me it isn't just a name but a deep down person meaning. Something that will always remind me of my mother and, at the time, those awful storm clouds. Has I grew I honestly didn't have an interest much for a camera. It wasn't until 2006 when I got my first film camera that I really started to get into taking pictures of all the great things around me, from my dog to the small flower on the vine. I never thought about photographing people until about a two years ago. I got the drive from my son. I captured everything I could with him and it hit me one day that I would like to do the same for other families. I wanted to capture there special moments as well. Everyone is something to someone and I wanted to be able to share that with them and their families. I try to get to know my clients not just on a business level but a personal one as well. I love people and love to hear their ideas when it comes to what they want out of a photoshoot. As for now I try to stay away from to much editing and airbrushing but like to stick with just color enhancement or minor fix ups. I try to keep my images as true to what you look like and to what I saw from my lens.
Thank you for everyone who has shared and liked my page. Take your time. View some images and enjoy. I will be adding more as I continue my photographing journey. :)
